Walking in the Shadows

Random musings from Warwickshire on life in general... Things that make me laugh, make me cry, things that wind me up beyond all endurance - and everything in between.

Every Little Helps finding something

Well, Tesco's motto "Every Little Helps" is very appropriate. The Warwick store's pharmacy came up trumps.

I'd struck out repeatedly trying to find my adrenaline autoinjector, and finally decided to try Tesco.

I needed to refuel Monster, so it made sense to see if I could get my prescription sorted. So, it was with no small amount of trepidation that I asked the pharmacist if they had the adrenaline autoinjector....

And bless their pharmacy. They not only had the thing, but two! Result.

The attitude of the pharmacy staff un Tesco is something that Boots could take lessons from. Not only did they have the necessary item, but they were willing to order my original epi-pen for me the next time I need it.

So I am a lot happier knowing I have a reliable pharmacy I can use.

Back when I get chance - got to sort a few bits out.

Search for the adrenaline autoinjector

Typical. I need a new epipen, and can I find one? Can I hell.

Boots are so off hand when you ask for help it's unreal. Ok - Leamington was really good - I was actually given information, but Solihull and Milton Keynes are hopeless. Unhelpful and almost rude when I asked if they had stock.

There was a time when I would sing the praises of the pharmacy in Boots. No longer.

The staff (not the dispencing pharmacist) really need to reassess their attitude to customers/patients, because without us - they're out of jobs.

Rant over - I need to call the GP to see if there is a suitable alternative.

The Long Road to Eternity

Well, this was a let down. Not through any fault of the band - the great British weather intervened and the gig was cancelled at 19:20. Fair play to the band - they offered a free drink to the fans and came down to the bar to see those of us who made it through the snow.

Tony and Bob are real gents, and if I am honest, I would have preferred the gig. But Mother Nature intervened and it wasn't to be.

Will I attended if they reschedule? You bet. The album is a cracker - and I can't stop playing it in the car - especially Welcome to the Cosmic Caberet and Without Love.

Rock on Magnum - the new album is a blast!!!
